ASA vs. WPC exterior panels

Similar job. Different material.

ASA and WPC can both be made into exterior wall cladding and composite siding, but they are not the same material. The useful comparison is the exact panel system—its construction, profile, installation requirements, testing, and warranty.

ASA

Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate

A weatherable polymer used for outdoor building profiles and finishing sheets, with strong color stability and resistance to sun exposure at the material level.

WPC

Wood-plastic composite

A different composite construction. Our WPC exterior collection uses other profiles and 114-inch lengths, so panel dimensions and installation details are not interchangeable.

Before you order

What is the difference between ASA and WPC exterior panels?

ASA and WPC are different materials that can both be used in exterior panel systems. ASA is a weatherable polymer; WPC is a wood-plastic composite. Compare the exact panel construction, dimensions, installation requirements, testing, and warranty—not just the material name.

What should be confirmed for an ASA exterior installation?

Confirm the panel construction, direct-UV and permanent-exterior documentation, applicable weathering test results, written warranty, expansion spacing, fastening, drainage, trim details, and local project requirements before installation.

Which finishes are available?

The photos show the assortment we have, but individual finish quantities can change. Text us a screenshot of the finish you like or visit the showroom for a current match.

Can I see the panel before buying?

Yes. Our Santee showroom is available by appointment so you can compare the material, profile, and finish in person before ordering.
